I’m Henry, a designer and maker based in London.
For nearly 20 years I have worked in museum, exhibition and commercial design, creating spaces and interactive experiences where detail, function and how people interact with things matter.
I’m now bringing that experience into furniture making - combining fine woodworking with precise mechanical details and considered movement.
THE DRAFTING TABLE
The first piece developed under PIVOT is a contemporary drafting table designed for drawing, making and creative work.
A sliding surface reveals a concealed groove for pens and tools. The working surface then pivots through a range of angles, allowing the table to adapt to the way it is being used.
The piece brings together my background in spatial and interactive design with the precision of fine furniture making - combining timber with carefully engineered brass components and leatherwork.

PIVOT explores the relationship between form, function and interaction.
I’m interested in furniture that does more than simply occupy a space - pieces that move, transform, reveal and invite interaction.
A concealed groove. A moving component. A change in angle. A mechanism that only becomes apparent when you use it.
